A resident of the Lafayette Square neighborhood, Josh "Jericho" Amato
literally is a hometown member of the St. Louis Perfectos.
"I stumbled across a game while taking my kids for a walk," Amato said
about what brought him to the Perfectos in 2007. Amato prefers to play
center scout or first tender. The St. Louis native played first base in high
school. "I enjoy vintage baseball because of the relaxed gentlemanly spirit,"
Amato said. As a local, Amato has had many memories at Lafayette park. "It
is a beautiful historical site with local fans who honor the historical
significance of the game," said Amato. Jericho enjoys games with the
Imperfectos during neighborhood events. "I like playing against the
Imperfectos, who are my neighbors and friends," Amato said. Jericho said
he would like to play under the St. Louis Arch, like many of his teammates
did during the 2007 Society for American Baseball Research (SABR)
national convention.
